#1 // Pumpkin Scones

Sarah at Broma Bakery can do no wrong when it comes to sweets, pastries, and all things dessert. I’ve tried many of her recipes and they never disappoint. I normally don’t love scones, but her “moist AF” scones (as she calls them) are a breakfast treat I’ve made the last couple of years. You know how I like something sweet with my morning espresso and this tastes like the season!

Risotto is actually a dish Emmett & I make and eat frequently. I’m swapping our standard risotto for this pumpkin variety in a couple weeks. Who doesn’t love the combination of savory pumpkin, goat cheese, cranberry, and thyme? That sounds like a winning dinner to me! We’ll probably add some protein and save leftovers. Risotto always reheats nicely.

#6 // Pumpking Bruschetta
12 Pumpkin Recipes to Try This October - Room for Tuesday (7)

I made these pumpkin bruschetta toasts four years ago for a fall party I was hosting and they were a major hit! Three serving trays of these were gone in a matter of minutes. I’ve been making them every year since and all of my friends have requested the recipe. They include some of my favorite fall flavors: goat cheese, pumpkin, arugula, and cinnamon roasted almonds. They’re also delicious with a drizzle of balsamic or olive oil- if you’re into that sort of thing.

#8 // Beer Cheese Pumpkin Soup
12 Pumpkin Recipes to Try This October - Room for Tuesday (9)

I’m a big fan of soup and chili this time of year. When looking for my ideal pumpkin soup recipe, I like to have some veggies or protein included- instead of just a smooth bisque (which can sometimes feel boring). This complex pumpkin soup seems like a winner. It includes everything from celery, bell peppers, onion, and veggies to bacon and beer! If I’m looking to indulge in a cheesy pumpkin soup- I want it to be this one. Emmett is equally as excited and has requested we give this one a try this week. Haha! I’ll keep you posted.

#11 // Pumpkin Mookies
12 Pumpkin Recipes to Try This October - Room for Tuesday (12)

Let me tell you about the time I accidentally invented mookies (my word for a cross between a muffin and a cookie), and almost broke the internet. I finally shared this recipe back in 2014 and it went viral, but I’ve been making these since I was in college. Pumpkin mookies only have three ingredients and believe me when I say- it doesn’t get easier or more delicious. Don’t judge, but Emmett & I make these at least 3-4 times in October- pretty much every weekend. So far, we’ve already made two batches this season. I’m warning you now… they’re addicting!
